Make Sense Theatre

The Make Sense Theatre now working with Primary department

We are delighted to announce that we are extending the benefits of working with the Make Sense Theatre Company to our Primary department starting Monday 10th January.  Both Primary and Secondary department will work towards a production show at the end of the year (in July).

Make Sense Theatre work with the neurodivergent community in education and community settings using drama and dance as a means to unlock potential.  Ambitious in all their work, they provide equitable access to the Arts through in-reach programmes for young people, multi-sensory theatre for complex needs, inclusive youth theatre and training and employment opportunities.

7Sense is unique theatre designed specifically for audiences with profound, multiple and complex learning disabilities. Engaging all seven senses – sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch, vestibular and proprioception – participants are invited to immerse themselves in a creative experience, and find meaning within it, in their own unique sensory way.

Performers deliver carefully crafted, multi-sensory theatre with the aim of their audience growing from passive to active participants. The predictable nature of the piece of theatre offers opportunity for natural responses and is a safe environment in which to grow in confidence, self-expression and creativity.
