Bishopswood School use the Read, Write Inc Phonics programme from Oxford Owl.

Read Write Inc. Phonics is a whole-school approach to teaching literacy to children that creates fluent readers, confident speakers and willing writers.

It comprises interactive lessons full of partner work, role-play and drama, integrates phonics with comprehension, writing, grammar, spelling, vocabulary and handwriting.  Bishopswood School teachers can access phonics planning and assessment support plus beautifully illustrated stories and poems to share with the children.  Parents/carers can support the work at home by logging in and accessing activities and games as well as an e-book library.
