If our school has to close for any reason, we are ready to restart our home learning programme straight away.  Parents have been provided logins for their children so they can access home learning if necessary.  We use Google Workspace for Education (the new name for G Suite for Education), please see the link on the right for more details of how to access this and which services are enabled for our students.

Here is the link to the Bishopswood school online learning:

You will find all the information you need in Google classroom.  If you are having problems logging into Google classroom please contact your child's teacher.

For pupils with SEND, the government have confirmed their teachers are best-placed to know how the pupil’s needs can be most effectively met to ensure they continue to make progress even if they are not able to be in school due to self-isolating. We recognise that most of our pupils may not be able to access remote education without adult support.  We will collaborate with families to make decisions on how provision can be delivered using relevant considerations including, for example, the types of services that the pupil can access remotely, for example, online teaching and remote sessions with different types of therapists. These decisions will be considered on a case by case basis, as recommended in the guidelines.  We check whether pupils are engaging with their work, and work with families to rapidly identify effective solutions where engagement is a concern.
