Mark Winch

Mark has been a Governor in Oxfordshire for over 9 years and has Chaired in both the primary and secondary sectors. In those 9 years Mark has been part of a Governor Board that moved an inadequate school to outstanding as well as working to make the school the hub of the local community. Mark carries out Governor training for Oxfordshire County Council and supports other Governing Boards in improving their governance practices. Mark’s background is in the NHS where he has held a number of board level roles with responsibility for governance, performance, organisational change and strategic implementation. He is passionate about building the links between schools and the wider community and ensuring that schools offer the best education to all its children.

JAMES BAKER

James has been teaching in schools for over ten years. He is a mathematics specialist and has taught across the state and private sectors leading curriculum and assessment design with great success. Currently he is Senior Deputy Head and Designated Safeguarding Lead at The Oratory Prep School near Goring. He believes that all children should have access to outstanding learning opportunities and pastoral care.

MAJELLA DELANEY

Majella is a qualified primary school teacher who taught in Ireland for seven years before moving to London to gain more experience and challenge herself in her field. She has taught in a range of urban and rural schools in both mainstream and special education. She is also a qualified SENCo and has completed the National Professional Qualification for senior leaders and has a range of experience in middle and senior leader positions. Before joining Meath school, she was Vice Principal for Inclusion in a large mainstream school with specialist resource provision for Speech, language and communication which gained accreditation as a centre of excellence for Inclusion and is currently a flagship school for inclusion. She joined Meath in September 2020 as Deputy Headteacher and was appointed Principal in October 2022.

Petra Shuttlewood

Petra has been a parent at Bishopswood Primary since September 2023. She has a background in PR/communications, predominantly in the B2B/technology sectors. Having grown up around neurodiversity her whole life, Petra is passionate about shining a light on the great contribution neurodiversity can make to how the world lives and works by offering different perspectives when it comes to innovation and problem solving. She believes that children with additional needs should have access to the same quality of education and opportunities as their peers. The corporate world is beginning to open its arms to neurodiverse communities because it realises the value these individuals bring to their businesses. This needs to be matched with the right level of education for children with additional needs to be able to thrive and seize the growing opportunities that the world is offering them.
