Students leave Bishopswood when they are sixteen. They have a range of choices for post 16 provision, either within a school or college environment.

Parents are encouraged to visit Post 16 provision before the Year 11 Annual Review, in the Autumn term, to help their child make the most appropriate choice. We enjoy strong links with The Pathways Department at Henley College and a post 16 tutor is invited to attend both Year 10 and Year 11 reviews. The school’s Connexions Advisor attends the Year 11 reviews too, often along with a Transition Social Worker, Education Officer and other professionals.

During their final year at school, transition arrangements are made on an individual basis. At the end of Year 11 students receive their accredited awards along with a photo profile and Powerpoint CD as a summary record of their achievements and experiences at Bishopswood; presented at the annual Leaver’s Assembly in July, to which parents, family and members of the community are invited.
